The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) is inviting internal qualified, self-motivated and experienced applicants for the following post:

Regulatory Officer – 1 Post

Reporting to the Chief Regulatory Officer in the Licensing and Enforcement (LED) Division, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:

  • Receive new applications for premises and person licenses and check for completeness;
  • Conduct inspections adhering to standard operating procedures;
  • Prepare inspection reports and submit for review;
  • Table all inspection reports and applicants’ responses at Licensing and Advertising Committee Meetings;
  • Process Section 75 applications in accordance to relevant SOPs;
  • Receive and process applications for advertising material, donations, precursor permits, narcotic and psychotropic substances according to relevant SOPs;
  • Conduct scheduled forensic lectures for Nurses, Doctors;
  • Draft and review procedures and guidelines and ensure training on new or amended guidelines or procedures;
  • Obtain samples for pre-analysis distribution and post marketing surveillance in accordance with SOPs;
  • Conduct consignment verification visits to the ports of entry according to procedures;
  • Conduct enforcement inspections and collaborate with CID-Drugs in inspections;
  • Periodical reviews of media for misleading advertisements;
  • Conduct stakeholder training according to approved training materials.


  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent;
  • Possession of a clean class 4 driver’s license;
  • One year post-registration experience;
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Office Package.
